I had a complete lifestyle change these past few days. The one that made me reconnect with nature. I spent most of my mornings out for a walk. Exploring our little neighbourhood of beautiful luxurious houses that sometime ago I thought were mostly abandoned. You can tell the personality of the habitants by the choice of their paints, their windows, the finishing touches, or simply by looking at the facade… like most of us do in the real world. or I guess even now that we’re on a more digital landscape than we’re use to.
Some days, if I’m lucky, I would see my dear neighbours go out for a walk with their dogs or alone. Adding a bit of movement to their every day like I was. It’s nice to feel like I belong… to reconnect even from a far.
Perhaps the most beautiful thing about my little adventures is the minute details. The very thing that makes each of them unique. I get a glimpse of what’s inside sometimes, the cars they own, the colours of their doors…
Even with my little neighbourhood which I thought mostly resemble a suburban village with a mix of skyscrapers… if you look a little closer you will see a lot of inspiration. A lot of abundance.
I find myself stopping in the middle of the street. Smelling some hints of the lush greeneries I’m surrounded by. I listen to the well-adjusted birds singing their songs. And during those moments, I find myself at the mercy, grateful to have my two feet on the ground, appreciating every little thing that surrounded me.
Perhaps this month of May, is all about answering those outdoor voices calling you to leave the digital world, to reconnect with nature, and to feel alive again.
